  • Structuring Your Review

    Recommendation Categories

After completing your review, you will be required to provide an overall recommendation to the editor. Common EPH recommendation categories include:

Accept: The manuscript requires no further revisions and is ready for publication.

Minor Revision: The manuscript is largely sound but requires minor clarifications, citations, or argument adjustments. Changes should be clearly marked and may be subject to re-review.

Major Revision: The manuscript has a solid foundation but requires substantial modifications, such as additional experiments, further analysis, or improvements in theoretical frameworks. Authors must provide a detailed response to reviewers’ comments, and the revised manuscript will undergo re-review.

Reject: The manuscript does not meet the necessary quality, novelty, or significance standards for publication. Even in cases of rejection, reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback for the authors.

Before making a recommendation, refer to the journal’s Aims and Scope to ensure alignment with novelty and contribution requirements.
